Abstract:
This presentation aims to give an overview of how the British Library's Electronic Theses Online Service has affected Aberystwyth University. The experience is one that has necessitated further investigation into many areas of third party copyright, the lesson learnt is that all theses need to be treated on an individual basis. The number and variety of Aberystwyth University PhD's requested through EThOS has since meant that a rough guideline of copyright issues to consider has been drawn up. This is by no means an exhaustive list but is designed to act as a first step for anyone who is responsible for checking the content of theses.
