In May 2009 the Centre for Performance Research and the Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies hosted a seminar evening to welcome new Department Fellow Barbara Cavanagh and to introduce the International Theatre Collection which was deposited here in Aberystwyth by her late husband John. Participants were invited into the collection and asked to talk for five minutes about something in it of their choice. Inevitably the talks overran, but a sample here suggest some of the interesting experiences and responses which we hope to explore further in our next seminar. These are informal notes and ideas rather than formal research papers but should still be understood as copyright of the individual writers.
